The week before our house was finished and ready for us to move into, we left the state and headed north for our annual ski trip (and some much needed rest & relaxation before the big move to come).
We have gone skiing every year since my husband and I met, but let me stress…. I am NO skiing expert! In fact, it is pretty sad that I am still such a beginner considering that I have been many times. This time, however, I was determined to get better and to lose a little of the fear I have. (I sure wish I had tried to learn when I was younger and didn’t have all of the fear of breaking a bone or hurting myself, lol!) Well, it worked. I stuck it out on the slopes and got better. There were times that I would have preferred to be snow bunny and just stay in confines of our condo and sip warm hot chocolate, but I made myself get out there and ski…and I got better.
So, lessoned learned. Just like with anything else, “practice makes perfect”.
However, with all of my time spent skiing, I didn’t spend as much time taking photos as I had hoped. I did take a few though…

We stopped mid-way down the mountain to take in the view and wait on the boys to meet us.

On the way home, I got this photo of 2 deer.
The day we arrived there were at least 30 of them out there, but it snowed a lot while we were there… and the deer found a new place to graze.
