Winter + Maternity = Cold, but Gorgeous!

Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010

So, before we get on to the photos of this beautiful couple and soon-to-be parents, let me give you a little back story.

You see, me and the mommy-to-be go way back…. I mean WAAAYYY back.  We were best friends since the age of 5.
(See, I told you we went pretty far back) We did everything together and pretty much lived at each other’s houses.

Anyhow, we kind of lost touch after high-school, but last year at our 10 year reunion we reconnected.  It was like we hadn’t missed a beat, except now we were older and married.

So, when she told me that she was expecting and wanted me to do her maternity photos, I was ecstatic!  To be able to share this experience with her was amazing, and I am glad that I could be the one to document this special time in their lives.

Well, I know you want to see the photos, so here you go.
Stay tuned though, because I get to do her newborn photos when the precious little girl arrives!!!

Love, love, love this next one!

Well, this holiday season has been a whirl-wind of awesome and amazing busy-ness….so many sessions, site revamps, studio construction, and meetings. . I have so many upcoming blog posts for you in the coming weeks!

I did, however, have a very special blog post for today.  I was so excited when I found out that one of my images was going to be included in the inspired book, which is a book composed solely of images from talented photographers from all over the world. When I got the email letting me know that I was going to be included in this amazing book and featured among my peers, I was ecstatic!  Then, when the book was delivered a few weeks ago and I saw which image they had chosen, it became even more special to me.  The publication panel had  chosen a photo from a family session that I did last summer for my best friend, her sweet husband, and 3 wonderful kids!

Wow… what an honor.

However, being able to work with my very special clients and helping to preserve their memories is truly an honor every single day!
