Year in Review // 2010

Friday, December 31st, 2010

Well, tonight marks the close of this year, and we will begin a new one tomorrow!  Can you believe that time has flown by so quickly? This year has been full of changes, but the changes have all been wonderful ones.  It is a wonderful feeling to look back on the year and know that you wouldn’t change a thing!

I just wanted to take this time to thank all of my wonderful clients for being so awesome!  I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our sessions and I can not wait for all of our sessions this next year! I feel so blessed to be able to do what I truly love. Being able to capture memories for families that will last a lifetime is the ultimate reward.  I really do have the best job in the world…being your photographer!

So, in commemoration of a wonderful year closing, here is a little re-cap of some snap-shots from personal adventures and memories I will always treasure!

1. Me and my wonderful hubby on our yearly ski trip.
2. Our trip to Toronto for a newborn workshop. (workshop for me…sightseeing for my hubby) :)
3. Our annual family beach trip!
4. My little sister graduating high school!
5. Me and my little brother at my sis’s graduation.
6. Me and my sister-in-law at the Zac Brown Band concert.
7. Nashville trip on the 4th of July.
8. Alabama Football (eek! Camera phone photo!)
9. Dinner with friends.

Amazing Couple + Awesome Location

Thursday, December 30th, 2010

A few weeks ago, I had the chance to do a couple’s session for these two amazing people… and close friends of mine.
You see, they got married last year right before he left for the army, so they didn’t have a chance to  have any engagement photos or wedding photos made.

He was home for a holiday, so we thought this would be the perfect time to seize the opportunity for portraits.  Because they are spending so much time apart right now, I understood how important these photos would be.   These images would be a constant reminder of the love they share and help ease the days and nights that they have to be apart.

So, we headed out to take photos…. and let me tell you,  I think that the temperature outside dropped a million degrees by the time we arrived to the location.  It was c-o-l-d out there.  Thank goodness they were all bundled up so cute…err, I mean handsome (for him). hehe :)

We had a great time hanging out, talking, laughing, and scurrying around trying to get all of the shots before we froze to death.

Merry Christmas!

Thursday, December 23rd, 2010

Well, Christmas time is here!  It really is one of my favorite times of the year!  Anyone who knows me, knows that once the Christmas tunes start playing on the radio, that is where my radio stays put!  What’s not to love about Christmas though?….. The love, the music, the smells, the food, the lights, the joyful spirit in air!  I could just go on and on.

But really what I want to do is…

I want to wish everyone who reads my blog and all of my clients a very Merry Christmas.
I hope your holiday is spent spending time with the ones that you love.
I look forward to catching up with you and hearing about all of the great holiday memories you created this season!

Oh, and if the Christmas spirit hasn’t hit you yet.  Here are some precious images that I think will usher the spirit right in!
